I really think this bike really deserves a major TLC party, one of the forgotten gems of early 2000. Out gun the 600 and can pretty much hang off the tail of the 1000. The thinking back when was, why bother with a 750? Those stepping up to the bigger bore sports bike from lower would go for a 600, those stepping up from the 6 would opt for the 1000.
My thoughts are the 750 is plenty enough to still have those spincter clenching moments whilst not as heavy or physically big like a 1000 makes this an excellent all rounder ( a 1000 in a 600 body haha).
So back on topic, a gradual relacement and upgrade of parts plus add some cheeky little bling factor.
Below is the ever growing shopping list, oem parts getting harder to find.
5 Bolts with collars neededs, two each side of side fairings and one for the front mudguard.
Install front mudguard
Wash down and polish
Test Ride
Bed Pads and Rotors in
Put the 750 Torques specs on and replaced old one
Bleed the new Penrite 10/10 coolant put in 2.4l and check for leaks from the new silicon hoses put in.
Finish cleaning and installing the All Balls fron Caliper service kits
New brake fluid Motul Dot 5.1
Install and torque off the new blue braid brake lines front and rear
Replacement Front Master Cylinder (End of Apr)
Right forks needs attention although has new bushes and seals in it.
Install Race Tech Springs 95kg
install rear brake fluid reservoir (blue) metal cap
Replace damaged Akrapovic exhaust sticker
Install third party levers
Install rearsets
Fit Fork Preload Adjusters
Install replacement petrol cap
Install replacement undertail section (including require lighting)
Fit rear hugger when it arrives
Run full temp check for leaks and fan (record fan kick in temp)
